What is the difference between a subscription and Magic credits?

A simple explanation of plans and usage credits for AI services.

A subscription defines which features you can access and for how long. Magic credits pay for certain AI services and processing tasks.

What you will learn

Determine whether an access issue concerns your plan or your credit balance.

Before you start

  • Open Subscription & Payments.
  • Check the plan name and validity date.
  • Check the Magic credit balance separately.

Steps

1 — Check the subscription first

If the plan is inactive, the main feature may be unavailable.

2 — Then check Magic credits

Access to a feature does not mean all AI processing is free.

3 — Identify the limitation in an error

A plan-access message differs from an insufficient-credit message.

4 — Check before heavy work

Review the balance before generating videos or large batches.

5 — Refresh after purchase or renewal

The new status should appear in the account and its features.

Useful tips

  • Subscription means access and duration.
  • Magic credits cover usage of certain AI services.
  • Review these separately.

Troubleshooting

  • If access is missing after renewal, refresh and check account status again.
  • If AI will not run, check the Magic credit balance too.
